Modern uplift for Charlotte Street, London
Steinwood was commissioned by a private client to deliver bespoke furniture for an apartment in Charlotte Steet, London a prestigious residential tower in London that underwent a transformation from commercial use in 2018.
60 Charlotte Street is a contemporary workspace blending spacious design with cutting-edge facilities. It features expansive 3.2m high ceilings and an 8 sqm per person occupancy rate, ensuring a roomy and open environment. Key amenities include high-speed internet, advanced air-conditioning, 76 cycle and 18 car parking spaces, and exclusive shower rooms.
The project presented logistical challenges including navigating London’s congestion, loading restrictions, and traffic controls. Furthermore, meticulous planning was required to ensure the custom pieces could be transported and assembled within the building.
The Steinwood Solution
Steinwood conducted an access survey to inform the design process, ensuring smooth transportation and assembly. The reception has been extensivley remodelled and extend to include a critical style frontage with a striking featured staircase connecting to the upper floors. The design team collaborated closely with the client to align with their vision, complementing the existing decor and crafting luxury furniture pieces, wallmounted TV unit with handmade silk backdrops, in conjunction with a silk printing specialist.
The result was an exquisite set of furniture that matched the client’s expectations and added a touch of elegance to their living space. This project underscored Steinwood’s ability to cater to private clients with personalised, high-quality interior solutions.
